Meet the Founder – Why I Started Japan Junior Cultural Exchange
Hi, I’m Sachi, founder of Japan Junior Cultural Exchange. I’ve lived in Australia for over 20 years and raised two sons. Along the way, I realised how valuable cultural exchange and global experiences are for young people — not only to broaden their horizons, but also to prepare them for the future.
When I was growing up in Japan, I experienced firsthand the importance of international connections. Later, as a parent in Australia, I saw how families often wanted safe, trusted ways for their teens to explore Japan — but didn’t know where to start.
That’s why I created Japan Junior Cultural Exchange: to give families peace of mind, and teens the opportunity to grow, learn, and gain confidence through cultural and educational programs in Japan.
